Attack on Mbororo Indigenous People on the On-going Socio-Political Crises

The Cameroon Indigenous Women Forum (FFAC) is deeply concerned about the abuses suffered by the Mbororo community in general and the women and girls in particular in the North West and South West regions of Cameroon.
As a matter of fact, since the beginning of the socio-political crisis in the said Regions in 2016, every day a member of the Mbororo community is assassinated, injured, houses destroyed, cattle slaughtered or snatched, etc. Women and children are the most vulnerable.
Mrs. Halima, 70 years old, testified that on the night of February 16, 2020, her village Mbui-Mbem, located in the Nwa subdivision, in the Donga-Mantung division, in the North-West region, was attacked and her family members killed. Her husband was among the victims.
FFAC recalls that Mbororo Indigenous peoples are full-fleshed human beings enjoying the rights that are protected by International, Regional Conventions and National texts.
